   यह साइप्रस से 170 मील दूर, रोडेश से 80 मील दूर तथा ग्रीस प्रायद्वीप से सुदूर उत्तर में है लेकिन तुर्की के तट से मात्र एक मील की दूरी पर स्थित है। कैस्टेलोरिजो अत्यंत छोटा है जो कि मात्र 5 वर्ग मील में विस्तृत है और उससे भी लघुतम स्वरूप यह कि यहाँ लोगों की बस्ती नहीं है। उन्नीसवीं शताब्दी में इसके 10,000 निवासी अब 430 तक सीमित रह गये हैं। इसके अकेलेपन के कारण यह ग्रीक प्रायद्वीप के सबसे अच्छे चार द्वीपों में है जो कि मौजमस्ती के लिये सर्वाधिक उपयुक्त है। अनातोलिया के निकट से यहाँ के लिये कोई सार्वजनिक वाहन नहीं है केवल सुदूर रोडेश से विमान या नाव मिल सकते हैं।
